Repurposed Caravans meet Russian Tragedy

Trailer condo, AmsterdamPerhaps you’ve seen this photo by Elmer Kroese on its rounds via social media. Contrary to popular–and a little bigoted–belief, it is not a trailer park in West Virginia. Rather, it was an awesome outdoor stage designed for the Theater het Amsterdam Bos (and I want the orange one).

Ivanov setCatherina Scholten designed this modular masterpiece for a 2005 production of Ivanov by Anton Chekhov (not this Chekov). Here’s another view of the stage with an audience.

Ivanov production in Amsterdam

Outdoor theater + stacked vintage trailers = fun

I'd vacation here.
